DIVINEFIRE GLORY THY NAME:
Divinefire Glory Thy Name.Yes!!! This is as near to the perfect power metal album as I've ever heard. People who love fast power metal in the Malmsteen style will do well to snatch this epic up. With members of Narnia, Crimson Moonlight, Veni Domine and others working on this you get a metal stew of awesome songs. Mixing some black metal vocals at times, killer riffs and solos, slowing down at times to breathe and then kicking back into full speed this has it all. And it works! Please People,There is a tremendous amount of energy produced by these songs and I liked the Christian-based lyrical content. There is some very nice guitar work on the CD and it's well recorded. The raw power is certainly good fodder to bang your head and if you listen with headphones you can get buried in the sound. Having said all that, it didn't completely work for me. The quick tempo remains consistent throughout and I end up hearing little difference between the songs musically. When it was over I felt like I'd spent an hour listening to the same song over and over.ase people, discover this and make it more popular. A truly great opus of metal.

DIVINEFIRE HERO:
Divinefire Hero,After listening to this it truly seems as though these guys have serious intent on conquering the metal world! (literally). I absolutely loved their first release 'Glory Thy Name' and I like this one just a touch more! That's really saying something considering how great their first cd was. This is fast powerful epic sounding melodic metal that has GREAT vocal harmonies and tasteful extreme vocals at times. Lots of orchestral parts going along with the blistering (yet melodic) guitars and quite simply these guys have their own formula for creating true masterpieces. With this release I easily place this band right at the top along with bands like Kamelot, Pagan's mind, Rhapsody etc.... Only this band is not a copy of them at all as Divinefire has it's own sound but no one can convince me that this band is not as good as the above mentioned bands! Divinefire has claimed their right to join the utmost top position now. Being such an unknown band, I figure I have some describing to do for you. Its loud, its powerful, its got a little bit of both female vocals AND extreme vocals (mostly "normal" power metal vocals, though), its got a cover of a Queen song at the end (one of the 4 I've listened to - its unreal), great artwork, UNREAL keyboards and programming... A lot of the rest I can't tell from only listening to 4 songs, such as "how many fast songs and how many ballads are there?" Well, the first full-length song is very fast. Bottom line is that I can tell this will turn into one of my favorite euro metal albums. And since I'm only going to do like one song every 3 days, I figured I'd put as much as I can up here so you can purchase the album as soon as you get the money. I seriously and highly recommend that you try this album - anyone looking for something NEW in melodic / progressive power metal will be pleased with this purchase. spread the word about this band!

INTO A NEW DIMENSION:
Into a New Dimension is the third album by Divinefire, a band formed by Narnia vocalist Christian Rivel and the multi-instrumentalist Jani Stefanovic whose resume includes stints with bands such as the power metallers Essence of Sorrow, the blackened melodic metal of Crimson Moonlight, the superb thrash metal of Am I Blood, and Sins of Omission amongst others. All of the songs on this disc were written by Stefanovic, who handles the guitars, drums, keyboards, and backing growls on the album. The lyrics were once again written by vocalist Rivel and focus around Christian themes as before. The duo are complemented by Narnia bassist Andreas Olsson. Add to this trio a myriad of guests including the excellent guitar players Carl Johan Grimmark and Patrik Gardberg and you have a solid lineup. The biggest difference between Into a New Dimension and the band's previous two albums is the superb production quality here. There is a lot of thought invested in the arrangements, which include both beautiful symphonic passages and well crafted lead solos. Stefanovic's keyboard playing is slightly less pronounced than before, but there are still certain songs that are entirely driven by his synth work. The opening and closing tracks both bring forth dark keyboards merging with pounding drums and melodic metal riffery. Rivel's aggressive power metal-styled vocals work quite well on the neoclassically driven "Passion & Fire", complete with constant double bass drums, speed metal guitars, and a fantastic lead solo by Carl Johan Grimmark. Grimmark plays leads pretty much on every song, but he also exchanges spots with others including Stefanovic himself. One of their strongest collaborations is "Time's Running Out", where the second lead solo is a great example of melody and power blended into a single theme. Highlights include the dark title track and "All for One", both of which feature great contrasts of dynamics, allowing Riven to showcase his true talents as a singer. The slower parts implemented into the otherwise fast and energetic songs provide a great sense of balance, especially when backed by those cool, monk-like chants and Sonata Arctica-like atmospherics. "Alive" is another piece which contains mammoth riffing and a great bass lead used to underpin the perfect mix of clean and death vocals. Granted there are some extreme vocal stylings on the album, they are used sparingly and should not bother most power metal fans who dislike that type of vocals. The Japanese import contains a bonus track called "Free Like an Eagle", which resembles more so Narnia and their earlier material, and is full of vocal hooks and catchy guitar melodies. The artwork is worth mentioning as well, as it credits each musician playing on the songs, which is sadly missing on many an album nowadays. This is the third in the Divinefire catalog and it distances itself from the european symphonic metal pack. It is speedy but not hyperfast as D force is, just for it's own sake. Christian Rivel, who sings for Narnia also, has added more aggression to the vocals and it is telling. Makes for a crunch that was a little lacking in the earlier music. They make use of more extreme death/black vocals that fits the overall mood of the album, and use keys to add flavor and spice. If you want a little more aggressive Sonata Artica or a Dragonforce with more grit this is the album. No filler found and a great metal piece.

DIVINEFIRE-FAREWELL:
Divinefire Farewell.'heavenly' Swedish Symphonic Power Metal trio, their fourth album overall. Their past success and touring in Japan have put Divinefire in a great position as they mix with their excellent fast Symphonic Metal with Extreme ... Full DescriptionMetal elements. If you love bands like Dragonforce, Children Of Bodom and Rhapsody Of Fire, then Farewell is dynamite for your Metal heart!. Rivel,After three successful records, Divinefire has just released its last record. After four years it’s over for the band with (ex-)members of Narnia. Mastermind behind the band, vocalist Christian Liljegren, calls it a quit and therefore Divinefire says farewell to its fans with this new album, called Farewell, combining the best of previous three releases into 45 minutes of melodic extreme metal combined with symphonic hardrock/metal. With Farewell, Divinefire succeeds to create a big bombastic sound with a lot of symphonic elements mixed with some (extreme) metal. On this album they received a lot of help from renowned names Mats Levén (Therion, Krux) and Carl Johan Grimmark (Narnia) and from Christian’s younger brother from Crimson Moonlight Hubertus Liljegren. Listening to Farewell, you can conclude that it’s a pitty Christian is going to give his body some rest, because he proves he has an amazing voice and a band member, Jani Stefanovic, who writes beautiful compositions. The band varies the melodic death metal excellent with the symphonic power metal. Also the correlation between the growls and the clean vocals are great. This genre has lost a great band, but luckily enough they give the fans with Farewell a memorable farewell gift. Divinefire formed in the springtime of 2004 with the colaboration of Finnish composer and drummer, Jani Stefanovic, and vocalist Christian Rivel (Narnia). Jani Stefanovic has been playing and touring with the bands Am I Blood, Sins of Omission, and Renascent.Narnia and Veni Domine are two considerable influences for Jani, so it was a natural step to contact these two prominent bands to fulfill his musical vision. Jani had many ideas and songs that he presented to Christian Rivel, and the rest was history. Melodies and songs exploded from the duo, and within a month they had written all the material for their forth-coming debut album. They excitedly commenced the recording sessions for the album in April 2004. Divinefire combines the heaviness from the more aggressive styles of metal with the melodies from the symphonic style of rock; while also blending in beautiful vocal harmonies. The result has been a tremendous mix and it takes the listener on an illustrious adventure and celebrated musical journey. This is a fresh, new band from Finland and Sweden, and they know how to handle and create masterful heavy metal for the new generation of metalheads!!! The band have recently signed a great deal with King Records in Japan and the album titled Glory Thy Name was released in late November '04 in Asia, and early 2005 in the rest of the world.
