Precious Death burst on the scene in 1994 as Christian Music's premier hard music band! With 3 albums under their belts, it's now time for the world to hear their best with Hardest Hits! This album includes all of their biggest hits, along with a slew of Number 1's. This disk also contains and Enhanced CD portion, which includes a mini version of Bible Browser (complete Bible text, word search, screen saver and daily devotional program in English and Spanish), interactive lyrics, videos and much more!!the band Precious death was okay to start with, but have now have become one of the greatest hard-core acts out there, right up there with POD and Project 86. i would recommend this to most anyone who likes hard music. it reaches a new level of hardcore maturity, interjecting sorrowful accoustic songs with the ones that just plain rock out, and best of all, the fast paced tunes actually have a melody and lead singer Chris Scott is a relief from the typical gutteral screams and moans from most of these types of bands. I can't describe the vocal style-- scott can fit whole paragraphs of lyrics into a few secomds of music. On the previous projects,Roger and his band of cohorts, known as Precious Death, release the follow-up to their brilliant debut. Hmmm, perhaps this is the beginning of a downward spiral or perhaps a mistep, but this album is nowhere near the excellence of the debut. There are still a lot of fine songs, but there is a bunch of silliness as well like in the "Oscillating Fullwave Bridge Rectifiers" which, I am sure, was meant as a joke. The problem with joke songs is that they are only funny the first or second time you hear them, after that they make the skip button a necessity. In any case the music went from being trend setting to trend following as Precious Death intentionally jump on the Pantera band wagon.Well, this still isn't a bad album, just somewhat disappointing when compared to "Southpaw." Christopher Scott still sings like no one else, and Roger Sampson's killer drum work is still present. Favorite songs "Some New Song" "I Remember" "So Far Away" and the somewhat bizarre "Moments." "I Remember" is an acoustic guitar ballad that Chris just wails on top of with his power-house voice. My only complain is why?they have to change to quickly after released Southpaw album that in my opinion is their best then they become more aproaches to P.O.D, Red hot chilli papers and,pit hot turtles, don't know what they were trying but i would have loved they have had they same beginning in thier continiously albums,,but anyway for one reason or other God Only Knows How to uses His people so Many love the later albums then Others the earlier metal album(as for me I stay with SOUTHPAW for is more my style but I Do consider the other(http://www.holymetalrob.com/)
