This band was quite a surprise to me. I'm not real fond of most female lead metal bands as they tend to be weak or overtly commercial. Ordained Fate are definitely an exception as they are quite aggressive. Musically they are thrash metal, but there is some variety going into classic metal (a la Iron Maiden) and some progressive elements as well. Great lyrics to boot. I bought this disc as a new release, it's now out of print.while musically it completely rocks (sort of goth-tinged thrash metal)I found the focals unfitting in some songs and the lyrics to the first song are completely cheesy...although I think this just may be to the glut of songs that came out around that time condemning TV Preachers as money grubbers...This is still a solid metal disc!!! Killer bass!!!!!!!!!!!This freakin rocks. IF you are a thrash fan get it. The band is extremely competent. Some great riffs. Very thought-provoking lyrics.Way way under rated. This is a classic thrash Band and must own IMO.females and thrash, say it isn't so,EXELENT,,from beginning to the end,This band was quite a surprise to me. I'm not real fond of most female lead metal bands as they tend to be weak or overtly commercial. Ordained Fate are definitely an exception as they are quite aggressive. Musically they are thrash metal, but there is some variety going into classic metal (ala Iron Maiden) and some progressive elements as well. Great lyrics to boot.This Band Released thier first album Then They continues in the same vein first the Second Album;
progressive thrash metal with some melodic parts and some full-on thrash parts. And for a change,Something That Love from A Band That Keep The Melody,Anyway a female lead vocal (which is unusual for music of such a heavy nature) as Pam Scott showcases some gut wrenching metal vocals, while the rest of the band displays razor precision in both timing and execution. They blend together as a true musical unit.Ordained Fate plays a metallic stomp a’ la Black Sabbath, injected with something rarely found these days:Genuine atmosphere,Bluesy metal with a thrashy edge from this female-fronted American outfit. Previous releases have only been available via import so it's good to see that there is some distribution in the UK now. Although there are a few tired metal cliches here, like the quiet yet tense intro to "Parade Of Pain" and the Metallica-esque chugging of "So Many Hours". "Glimmer Of Hope' is nevertheless a great album.Lyrically,the band deal with some unusual topics."That's
Entertainment" is about toy weapons for children and the negative effect they can have later in life. "Santa's Lil Helpers" is about the commerciality of Christmas. But perhaps the album is most notable for its unorthodox cover version of Don Francisco's "He's Alive", you never heard it played like this before! Burning lead work from Annette Cvengros, solid rhythms from Terry Cvengros and powerful vocals from Pam Scott make this an album that will appeal to headbangers everywhere.The Album Glimmer of Hope CD of Christian heavy metal band from 1995 featuring two female guitarists. Great heavy metal power metal thrash style influenced by 80s Metallica and 70s Scorpions,(http://www.holymetalrob.com/)
